Cleethorpes In Bloom are aiming to be champions this summer and you can be involved too. Do you have a garden or green space you are proud of? Would you like to have your hard work recognised in a resort wide competition with the chance to represent Cleethorpes in the East Midlands region. Whatever the size or style of your garden you can enter. Cleethorpes In Bloom is awarding over £700 worth of gardening vouchers with the sponsorship of Alford's Garden Centre, Grimsby Road, Laceby.

In 2010 Cleethorpes In Bloom achieved a gold medal at the regional competition in the Champion of Champions category, with their highest ever score. Cleethorpes can only continue to achieve this if you support us and show the gardening talent the resort has to offer and help us create a beautiful environment for all to enjoy.

There are nine categories for you to enter including: Community Alleyway, Street, Residential Garden, Pub, School, Group Dwelling, Church, Business and Attraction. Certificates are awarded to 1st, 2nd and Highly Commended in each category. The best from the School, Pub, House and Business categories will be put forward by Cleethorpes In Bloom to represent the Resort in the Special Awards Competition to be assessed by the East Midlands In Bloom Judges in July 2011.

Alford Nurseries and Garden Centre, of Grimsby Road, Laceby have again agreed to kindly sponsor the prizes, which are £40, £30 and £20 for the top three in each category. An awards ceremony will take place in October for certificates and prizes to be presented to the winners.
